Energy development designation of Vajk-Sziget Primary School

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The goal of the execution is to reduce the building’s heat loss and modernize the mechanical systems, thereby decreasing the amount of thermal energy required for heating.

**Main components of the execution:**

– Replacement of outdated open combustion gas boilers with modern condensing boilers.
– Separate the heat generation and heat distribution sides using heat exchangers.
– Complete replacement of old, outdated equipment in the machinery room (pumps, control valves, water softeners) and mechanical elements (distributors, shut-off valves) with new, modern technical solutions that comply with current environmental regulations.
– Replacement of old valves on radiators with new thermostatic shut-off valves.
– Replacement of the G65 gas meter with a G40 meter to reduce costs.
– An automated control system suitable for managing the heating system and circuits was installed in the boiler room and sub-heat center, capable of reading and collecting data from the main circuit heat meters to be installed. The requirement was for the boilers to modulate individually based on performance demand, maintaining the desired forward temperature. Fine adjustment of the forward temperature for the circuits is achieved with a three-way mixing valve. The regulation for each heat emitter is ensured by thermostatic valves placed on the radiators, which manage the resulting variable water mass flow through variable-speed pumps located in each circuit. The integrated energy management system complies with the EN 15232 standard and is classified as a „C” category energy management system, suitable for active regulation and comparison of project indicators with actual measured data.
